In Social Studies we learned about american Indians and slavery this is one of my stories:
Dear Aunt Roosevelt,
The trip was a disaster, up to 150 days on a boat with so many other "slaves" if those so called "nice" guys found out we were ill or led a revolt or if food supplies were running low, over the side with us. The parts I did not like about the slave trade was getting separated from our families and being put to work for a guy we don't even know while they shout to us in a language that we don't even understand. If we worked hard enough we could become house servants working our way to freedom. We were mad at the whiter slaves because they automatically became house servants and it was easy for them to earn their freedom. But even then only few slaves earned their freedom.
Sincerely,
Jeremiah
